SUMMER UPDATE:

Hey my friends,

I hope this bulletin finds you all well.

It has been a CRAZY summer. We have been all over North America since May. We have ministered in Oklahoma, Florida, New Mexico, Virginia, British Columbia, Georgia and next week we will be in Philadelphia!!!!!

God has put us in front of over 20,000 people this summer and we have seen many come to know Christ.

Please pray for us:
~ We are physically tired and emotionally tired.
~ We miss our families and are pretty sick of traveling
~ We have just ONE more week to go and want to finish strong in Christ.
~ We need deeper intimacy with Christ....

I want to personally thank all of you for the THOUSANDS of e-mails we have recieved this summer.

Thanks for praying for my mom as well. Mom Engle is doing great and recovering nicely. Her doctors had to tweak her medicine a bit as she was feeling excessively tired because of the surgery.

In the next month I am going to make a pretty shocking announcement to you guys. It is a GREAT announcement but I need to wait a bit longer before I share it with you.

Blessings to ALL of you,

Joel Engle

A note from Joel:

My Mom is amazing!

First, I must say how grateful I am to the thousands of you who have prayed for my mom.

Right before the surgery all of our family (over 20 people) prayed sentence prayers over mom. From the ages of 7 to 75, our family voiced our dependency upon God together! I believe we were in perfect union together with thousands of other Christians scattered over the earth! I kept thinking about what a huge spiritual influence my mom has had on all of us. From her kids to her grandkids to all the people in her church and friends all over the world, God has used my mom as a light for Jesus from little old Garber, Oklahoma. Thousands have come to know Christ by hearing my testimony of my mom leading me to Christ. Here I was surrounded by a legacy of my mom's faith in Christ, even before a very serious operation.

God has really done miraculous things. The cardiologist told my mom and dad that there was a great possibility that my mom's main artery to heart was permanently damaged by her heart attack. The doctor felt that there was a high chance that an artificial artery would have to be used to replace her main artery because it looked like it was leaking. My dad did not tell us this until after the operation because he didn't want us to fret about it.

Well, they didn't have to use the artificial artery because God healed her main artery! The bypass was very successful and my mom is recovering wonderfully. I am grateful to have her in my life and this whole experience has made me re-think just how important family really is. We take those around us for granted way too much.

Once again, I say thanks for your prayers. God answers our prayers! He is faithful.
